What better way to start a brand new weblog than with some poetries?
1.
One night I rolled into a dream
so real that when I woke up
I found I was already awake,
so awake
that I was sitting at the table eating breakfast.
Which is how I knew it was a dream.
Because I never eat breakfast.
And if I did, I certainly wouldn’t eat
a deep fried ninja star.
2.
The stars seemed oddly harsh and invisible
for 10:00 AM
and there was no moon to be found,
and rain drops fell like teardrops,
into the noiseless sea,
and that is when I realized
that I was, in fact, a frog.
So I ate a fly and immediately
began humping as many other frogs as I could find.
4.
Hate is a factory that pollutes the river of love.
Love, in addition to being a river, is the city inspector
who shuts that factory down because it is a fire hazard,
and the Opossum that pees on the outer wall of the factory every night, just because it can.
THE UNFORTUNATE DAY POEMS:
#1
One unfortunate day
My arm fell asleep,
And while trying to wake it up
I shattered every bone in my body.
#2
One unfortunate day
I leaned my arm against an oak tree,
Shattering every bone in my body.
#3
One unfortunate day
I died peacefully in my sleep at the age of 92,
Having lived a long and relatively pain free life.
But the coroner was having a bad day, and so he took it out on me,
Shattering every bone in my lifeless body.
You are such an idiot...an idiot after my own heart...
"Sissy" (why didn't you ever call me that?!)
Posted by: Bahiyyih at January 7, 2005 08:13 AMMy dearest Nathan, I am quite impressed by the gloriousness of your creative endeavors. As I may have mentioned before you should stick to calling this a weblog instead of shortening it to "blog" I find that kind of yuppy.
Thanks for being cool.

Nate, our blogs are like twins or something - born around the same time. At the very least, they are hanging out together in the blog nursery.
This is so exciting! I really like all of the pieces you shared for your debut. They make me think about reality/dreaming/realizations. Here's to many more inspiring posts! Love ya!
